BARACUTA FW21 x Highsnobiety collab
Published

Heritage strikes back! For Winter 21, Baracuta reimagines its history through its iconic designs.
Exhibitors Spotlight highlights, via Highsnobiety, a selection of brands exhibiting at Pitti Uomo this year, presenting their upcoming collections and future special projects.

Building on its heritage, Baracuta is known as the original manufacturer of the classic Harrington jacket. Its G9 silhouette has become a cultural reference, worn by icons such as James Dean and Steve McQueen.
With nods to the Ivy League and American collegiate style, Baracuta returns for FW 21 with a collection inspired by Great Britain and the United States, as the collection draws from both cultures.
Both countries represent fundamental milestones in the brand's history. Great Britain is the motherland of Baracuta and forms the foundation of the collection's heritage.

On the other hand, the United States inspires a classic college style with a Varsity jacket adorned with embroidered details. An iconic piece, this jacket is a revised version of Baracuta's iconic G9 jacket. The garment features contrasting sleeves, a Fraser Tartan lining, and a color combination true to the original garment.
We also find the Montgomery jacket. Initially launched by Marshal during World War II, this Baracuta model is made from premium Italian wool and is reinterpreted with a new logo and an embroidered patch.

Fans of Baracuta's corduroy (with five hundred stripes!) will embrace the corduroy of the G9 and the Overshirt jacket, designed in palettes of burgundy, blue, and forest green. Baracuta has also designed a corduroy suit in premium gold and orange tones, consisting of a double-breasted jacket and coordinated trousers.
