"The game doesn’t start on a field.
It starts in everyday life.
Everything is a game.
An invitation to play, with everything, all the time."

Discover the limited-edition collaboration between Umbro, Verlan, and artist Léa Mestres. A football jersey reimagined as an object for everyday life—a piece rooted in daily experience, where style becomes a language. Produced in a very limited run, at the intersection of sport, fashion, and art, the collaboration launches on January 19, 2026.
A Three-Way Encounter: Umbro, Verlan, and Léa Mestres
The strength of this collaboration lies in the meeting of three distinct yet complementary worlds.
Umbro: Sporting Heritage
Founded in 1924, Umbro has been shaped by a genuine passion for sport. The British brand has consistently bridged heritage and contemporary culture, the pitch and the street, through collaborations with forward-thinking creatives, from Nigel Cabourn and Aries Arise to Palace and Off-White. For this project, Umbro brings its legitimacy and unmatched expertise in sportswear.

Verlan: Responsible Experimentation
Based in Paris, Verlan defines itself as a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and responsible space for experimentation. Constantly in search of what feels “right,” the brand creates limited-run products that reflect a respect for quality and the simple pleasure of doing things well. This conceptual and artisanal approach is what gives the project its distinctive character.

Léa Mestres: The Artistic Perspective
A French artist and designer represented by the prestigious Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Léa Mestres is known for her joyful, colorful universe—deliberately at odds with overly serious design. She brings her artistic vision and unique sensibility to the collaboration.

The Jersey as a Medium
The result of this encounter is a jersey that goes beyond performance. It is a piece designed to accompany simple moments, unguarded instants, and ordinary scenes.
A Deliberate Design
The jersey is conceived to reveal the creative process. Hesitations and seams are intentionally left visible, as traces of the artist’s hand. The result is a deliberate balance between the rigorous construction of sportswear and the freedom of artistic expression.

An Object for Everyday Life
More than a product, this jersey becomes a medium for interpretation. Designed to be worn daily, it serves as a form of self-expression. It embodies the idea that play exists everywhere—in a gesture, an attitude, a way of walking or creating. An invitation to play, with everything, all the time.

Availability: This limited-edition collaboration (retail price: €120) will be available from January 19, 2026, at Citadium Caumartin and online on the Verlan website.

This collaboration between Umbro, Verlan, and Léa Mestres perfectly illustrates how different worlds can intersect to create a singular, meaningful object. It highlights Verlan’s ability to initiate creative dialogues that are both relevant and desirable.
