On October 10th, SALOMON x Y/PROJECT will unveil their collaboration with a twist on the iconic Salomon Speedcross 3.

The SPEEDCROSS 3 Y/PROJECT is inspired by Salomon’s iconic Speedcross 3. This collaboration focuses on the "savoir-faire" of both brands, blending form and function. The Speedcross 3 Y/PROJECT is a sumptuously graphic and textured reinterpretation of an iconic Salomon trail silhouette.

Crafted in an opulent fabric for a luxurious finish, this collaboration merges versatility and avant-garde design with traditional trail running codes.

The crumpled texture of the fabric is achieved through an adjustable drawstring that holds the draping in place, creating a pleated aesthetic that reveals the iconic Sensifit™ technology underneath. This intricate fabric work adds to the innovative visual appeal of the shoe, balancing luxury and functionality.

Excellent in terms of performance, the Speedcross 3 Y/PROJECT is characterized by aggressive grip and an agile design.

The outsole’s legendary Speedcross lug pattern is designed for inimitable traction on a variety of surfaces, ensuring stability and control.

Protection is provided by a protective mudguard around the base of the foot, shielding it from the elements while maintaining the shoe's lightweight construction.

Glenn Martens was an integral part of the design of the Y/PROJECT Speedcross 3 sneaker, and this collaboration marks one of his last as creative director of Y/PROJECT.
