When the performance heritage of the French Alps collides with the irreverence of conceptual fashion, the result is compelling. Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela unveil a new chapter of their collaboration for autumn/winter 2025, blurring the boundaries between technical garment and fashion statement, between outdoor function and urban instinct.
At the core of this new capsule lies a modular, gender-neutral clothing system designed for the layered realities of contemporary life. Yet another demonstration of Salomon’s relevance, a brand proudly represented by The Clothette.
The Apparel Collection: Technique Reinterpreted
The collection delivers a wardrobe that merges the attitude and distinctive detailing of both houses, rendered in a restrained palette of Deep Black, Abbey Stone, and Melange Oat, tones that evoke both technical precision and a confident urban character.
Outerwear Statements:
The hero piece is the Waterproof Down Parka, a fully waterproof puffer with sealed seams and an adjustable hood, embodying Salomon’s outdoor legacy. MM6’s aesthetic subtly infiltrates the design through elongated dual-zip pockets, a printed numeric label, and the signature white stitch line at the back. The Reversible Insulated Jacket explores duality: one side is quilted and graphic with discreet branding, the other is smooth and minimal, marked by an oversized MM6 numeric logo across the back.Mid-Layer Pieces:
The collection revisits archetypes through a conceptual lens. The Motomesh LS reinterprets an early-2000s technical jersey as a long-sleeve piece with MM6’s characteristic oversized cut, finished with an embossed Salomon logo at the chest.Its counterpart, the Motomesh Pants, transforms the same technical fabric into wide-leg trousers, radically rethinking volume and proportion.
Finally, the High Neck, a warm, breathable fleece, is reshaped with an exaggerated collar and unexpected proportions, merging comfort with MM6’s instinct for distortion.
The Sneakers: XT-MM6 and ACS PRO Reimagined
The footwear silhouettes punctuate the looks, offered in colorways that highlight their technical construction.
The XT-MM6: Presented in three variations: An off-white monochrome version with black detailing and logos. Two black editions, one accented with bold silver touches, the other energized by vivid red highlights.
The ACS PRO: Available in two iterations: a full-white version with gradient grey accents across the upper and sole. A more daring combination of bright yellow and black, injecting high-visibility energy into the silhouette.
